A resin lamp, also called an epoxy resin lamp or resin night light, is a small sculpture cast in crystal-clear epoxy resin and set on an LED base. Inside the resin is a hand-painted scene: a character, a landscape or a moment from a favorite story. Switch it on and the light travels up through the resin, so the whole scene seems to glow from within. Many designs combine the resin with natural wood for a framed, organic look.
How a resin lamp works
- The scene: miniature figures and scenery are sculpted or printed, then painted by hand.
- The resin: clear epoxy is poured in layers around the scene, which keeps depth and lets effects like smoke, water or galaxies float between layers.
- The light: an LED in the base shines up into the resin. Clear resin carries light well, so edges and painted details catch the glow.

How bright is a resin lamp?
A resin lamp gives a soft, ambient glow. It is ideal as a night light, an accent light on a shelf or a calm light for a gaming setup, but it is not bright enough to read by. Think of it as decor that lights up, not a desk lamp.
